  • The secret to maximizing one’s potential is having a growth mindset where failure is a tool used for the betterment of a performance. The stereotypes surrounding failure have stunted the societal growth in all areas of life such as school, sports, and relationships. (Working thesis)

    • It’s okay to fail IF you learn from your mistakes
    • Stretch outside your comfort zone…all the time
    • Take risks in class
    • Failing forward

    • Teach kinds….and parents to accept that no one is perfect and if we don’t get A’s to start it’s okay hard work will get them
    • We need to spread the message that your abilities change with effort and approach challenges with optimism

    • What to AVOID: “If you have to work at it, it wasn’t meant to be” or “problems indicate character flaws”
    • Good things don’t come automatically
    • “There are no great relationships without conflicts and problems along the way”
